The International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential credential sets the industry standard for practicing facility managers and validates a manager’s ability and skill in 11 competencies of the facility management body of knowledge. CFM work varies widely, depending on facility size, industry, purpose, location and whether the CFM manages one or multiple facilities. Candidates must meet a combination of education and experience requirements. Candidates must pass a written exam.

Candidate must have three years of experience and must have a Bachelor's or Master's level Facility Management degree.
Option 2:Candidate does not need a degree in Facility Management, but must have five years of experience.
