The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), ASNT Central Certification Program-Magnetic Particle Testing (ACCP-MT) Level II, certifies individual's familiarity with the scope and limitations of the Magnetic Particle Testing method and technique. ACCP-MTs demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to set up and calibrate equipment, to conduct tests, and to interpret, evaluate, and document results in accordance with procedures approved by an ACCP Professional Level III or ASNT NDT Level III. ASNT requires candidates to meet the ACCP Level II training and experience requirements. Candidates must pass the General, Specific, Practical and Instruction Preparation Examinations.

Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must have minimum documented experience of 265 hours in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) method and a total of 530 hours in Nondestructive Testing (NDT).
Note: Candidate's experience shall be based on the actual hours worked in the specific method. While fulfilling total NDT experience requirement, experience may be gained in more than one method, and hours spent performing NDT-related tasks may be counted.
Training REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must have minimum 40 hours of documented training in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) method.
Note: Training hours may include both practical and theory courses. Practical training may not make up more than 50% of the overall level II training curriculum.

The ASNT Central Certification Program Level II - Magnetic Particle Testing (ACCP-MT) credential has the following other requirements:
- Candidate must agree to abide by the ASNT Code of Ethics.
Candidate must pass a General Examination, one or more Specific Examinations, one or more Practical Examinations, and an Instruction Preparation Examination.

Written Exam Specific
Candidate must pass at least one Specific exam. This exam determines the certification sector. The exam covers General Industry questions based upon a supplied general industry NDT procedure and Pressure Equipment questions based upon a supplied pressure equipment sector NDT procedure.

Practical Exam Instruction Preparation Examination
Candidate must complete an instruction based upon a supplied general NDT procedure. The Instruction Preparation exam result counts as 15% of the Practical exam final score.
