Cooks perform a variety of functions in the galley to support the food service operation onboard. The The Assistant Cook is under the direct supervision of the Chief Cook, and shall assist in preparation and production of all menu items assigned. Incumbent shall assist the Chief Cook in the efficient operation of the galley and perform other duties categorically classified within the scope of the position. Be responsible for the timely preparation and production of all assigned meal items utilizing Progressive Cooking Techniques. Ensure safety precautions and operating instructions of equipment utilized are strictly enforced. Performs other duties as assigned. MMD REQUIREMENTS: Steward Department (SD) and Food Handling (FH).
