Candidate must have at least two years of relevant hands-on work experience. Note: Appropriate vocational training may be substituted for some work experience. See the ASE Work Experience Requirements for more information.	Individual experience will be assessed by the credentialing agency.

The Medium/Heavy Truck - Drive Train (T3) credential has the following recertification information:

To recertify, Medium/Heavy Truck - Drive Train (T3) certification holders must pass a recertification test and pay a recertification test fee every five years.

Additional considerations for the Medium/Heavy Truck - Drive Train (T3) include:

Certification holders who are certified in ASE tests T2 – T8 are recognized as ASE Certified Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technicians. Test T1 is not required for Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician status. Additional information can be found on the ASE website.
