The BICSI, Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM) is for individuals who oversee and coordinate the interaction between designers, engineers, installers and technicians when new information and communications technology (ICT) projects are being developed or are undergoing construction. RTPMs possess the ability to understand and apply a vast collection of telecommunications project management principles, concepts, tools and technology. Candidates must meet specific education and/or work experience requirements. Candidates must pass a written exam.

Education and/or Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must have one year of ICT project management experience and hold a current BICSI RCDD, DCDC, OSP, INSTC, INSTF, or TECH credential.
Option 2:Candidate must have two years of Project Management Experience in ICT.
Option 3:Candidate must have three years of ICT industry experience, including one year of managing or supervising ICT projects.
Option 4:Candidate must hold a current Project Management certification or a degree in Project or Construction Management and one year of ICT industry experience.
Military Specific REQUIREMENTS
The BICSI RTPM exam may be eligible for GI Bill reimbursement for those who qualify. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) pays only the exam costs, or up to $2,000 for each exam. Payment is issued after the candidate submits proof of payment to the VA.
