Credential: ISO 28000 Lead Implementer - Supply Chain Security Certification
Credentialing Agency: Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB)

The ISO 28000 Lead Implementer – Supply Chain Security Certification is for professionals who implement Supply Chain Security Management Systems (SCSMS) and manage implementation projects.  Candidates must have the ability to support an organization in implementing and managing a Supply Chain Security Management System as specified in ISO 28000 including risk management, risk management plan, implementation, surveillance, re-examination and operation of an SCSMS, continuous improvement of information security, management's commitment, follow-up and review.

ISO 28000 Lead Implementer - Supply Chain Security Certification

To qualify for the ISO 28000 Lead Implementer certification a candidate must have five years of professional experience with two years in Supply Chain Security work. Candidates must also have a total of 300 hours of Supply Chain Security Management System (SCSMS) project work.

  • Candidates for the ISO 28000 Lead Implementer certification must submit two references including a current resume/CV, and SCSMS audit/project log.

ISO 28000 Lead Implementer - Supply Chain Security Certification

Renewal Period: 3 years

The ISO 28000 Lead Implementer - Supply Chain Security Certification credential has the following recertification information:

  • The PECB certifications are valid for three years. To maintain certification, the candidate must demonstrate every year that he/she is still performing tasks and receiving education that are related to the certification. Cumulatively in a three-year period, a certification holder must have 45 hours of experience plus 45 hours of education relating to ISO 28000 topics to be eligible for recertification.
  • Note: Marine Corps COOL will only pay recertification fees for the current billing cycle. Voucher requests for recertification fees must be submitted with proof of the current status of the certification (for example, a screen shot of your credentialing agency dashboard or a copy of a current fee receipt).
