The Global Information Assurance Certifciation (GIAC), GIAC Certified UNIX System Administrators (GCUXs) have the knowledge, skills and abilities to secure and audit UNIX and Linux systems and are able to use multiple tools to handle security issues, including SSH, AIDE, sudo, lsof, and others. This intermediate level certification is targeted towards individuals responsible for installing, configuring, and monitoring UNIX and/or Linux systems. There are no formal education or experience requirements associated with this certification. Training is available but not required. Candidates must pass a written examination.
