The Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification Commission, Inc., Fire Apparatus Technician Master Level III certification is an advance-level certification that recognizes technicians who service and maintain fire department pumpers, squads, aerial devices, tankers, wildland and apparatus. Fire Apparatus technicians are knowledgeable and skilled in design and performance standards, specialized systems and equipment, and the accepted practices used in the service and maintenance of fire apparatus. Candidates must have met the requirements of Fire Apparatus Technician Level I and II. Candidates must pass two EVT written exams and two National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) written exams.

Credential Pre-requisite REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must have met the requirements for Fire Apparatus Technician Level I and II prior to applying for Fire Apparatus Technician Master Level III.

The Fire Apparatus Technician Master Level III credential has the following other requirements:
- Candidate must pass two EVT exams and two National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) exams to receive the Fire Apparatus Technician Level I certification. Additional information regarding the ASE Exam can be found on the ASE website.
