The Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP), Certified Wireless Analysis Professional (CWAP) is a professional level career certification for candidates who are skilled at analyzing and troubleshooting today’s wireless LANs. The CWAP is responsible for the capture and analysis of data related to wireless networks following troubleshooting principles and methodology. Candidates have an in-depth understanding of protocols, frame exchanges and standards at the physical layer and MAC sublayer. Candidates are proficient in the use of spectrum and protocol analysis tools. Candidates must have a current CWNA credential to take the CWAP exam.

Renewal Period: 3 years
The Certified Wireless Analysis Professional (CWAP) credential has the following recertification information:

The CWAP certification is valid for three years. To recertify, one must have a current CWNA credential and pass the current CWAP exam or earn the CWNE certification. By passing the CWAP exam, the CWNA certification will be renewed for another three years. Additional information about recertification can be found on the CWNP website.

Note: Marine Corps COOL will only pay recertification fees for the current year, no arrears will be paid.
Voucher requests for recertification fees must be submitted with proof of the current status of the certification (for example, a screen shot of your
credentialing agency dashboard or a copy of a current fee receipt).
