The Electronics Technicians Association, International (ETA-1), Certified Network Computer Technician (NCT) is for the network professional who is knowledgeable about computer electronics basic concepts, Internet, and networking technology used in various parts of the computer industry. NCTs demonstrate the ability to operate, structure, function, file manage, diagnose, manage memory, install, configure/upgrade and troubleshoot operating systems and hardware (including motherboard and processors and printers). Candidates must pass a written exam.

Additional considerations for the Network Computer Technician (NCT) include:
- A stand-alone NCT certification can be upgraded to a Journeyman CET. To qualify, candidate must have at least two years of combined work experience and electronics training and pass the Associate Electronics Technician (CETa) exam.
