In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA), Certified Mail Manager (CMM) is for managers who have attained a high level of competence and professionalism. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of mail management experience and be currently employed in an in-plant environment. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate, through three letters of recommendation, acceptable character, ability and reputation. Candidates must pass a written exam.

Candidate must have a minimum of five years of mail management experience and be currently employed in an in-plant environment. The five years need not be consecutive, but must be of a managerial nature.

The Certified Mail Manager (CMM) credential has the following other requirements:

  • Candidate must submit three letters of recommendation that demonstrate acceptable character, ability, and reputation.

  • Candidate who is not a member of IPMA must provide written employer documentation verifying the candidate's position in in-house mail management.
  • Candidate must pledge to adhere to the CMM Code of Ethics included in the CMM Brochure.

RECERTIFICATION

Certified Mail Manager (CMM)

Renewal Period: 5 years

The Certified Mail Manager (CMM) credential has the following recertification information:

  • The CMM certification is renewed every five years by accumulating 15 professional credits and paying a recertification fee.

    Additional information can be found in the CMM Brochure.

  • Note: Marine Corps COOL will only pay recertification fees for the current billing cycle. Voucher requests for recertification fees must be submitted with proof of the current status of the certification (for example, a screen shot of your credentialing agency dashboard or a copy of a current fee receipt).

CG Bucks

Current Coast Guard policy states all credentials listed on CG COOL may be reimbursed assuming the enlisted service member meets the eligibility requirements as outlined in the Coast Guard Voluntary Credentialing Program Policy (COMDTINST 1540.1(series))
