The American Correctional Association (ACA), Certified Corrections Executive (CCE) is for executive-level professionals who oversee the development of policy and procedures in agencies that deal with adult offenders. Aside from increasing the professional's knowledge and skill level, the program is designed to improve the public image of correctional personnel overall. Candidates must meet a combination of education and experience requirements. Candidates must pass a written exam.

Education and/or Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, plus one year of work experience in present executive-level position.
Option 2:Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, plus one year of work experience in present executive-level position, plus seven years of full-time corrections experience.

- Incorporate into operational practices the provisions of the U.S. Constitution, the outcomes of landmark court cases, and court decisions affecting local procedures

- Maintain a proactive approach to identifying and solving potential problems
