The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), Business Class Services Specialist (BCSS) is an intermediate-level professional certification for candidates who perform business-level installations, disconnects, pre-wires, change of service, and multiple tenant unit (MTU) wiring for small to medium business class customers. Candidates should have knowledge of Networking Fundamentals, Ethernet Services, Enterprise Voice, Fault Management, and HFC Networks. Candidates must pass a written exam.

The Business Class Services Specialist (BCSS) credential has the following recertification information:

BCSS certification is renewable every three years. BCSS certification holders must earn 12 Recertification Units (RUs) to maintain certification without having to re-take the exam.

Note: Marine Corps COOL will only pay recertification fees for the current year, no arrears will be paid.
