The AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification is intended for individuals who perform a Developer role. This certification validates a candidate's ability to demonstrate an understanding of core AWS services, uses, and basic AWS architecture best practices and proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS. Although there are no prerequisites to sit for the exam, it is recommended that candidates have one or more years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining an AWS based application.

RECERTIFICATION

AWS Certified Developer - Associate

Renewal Period: 3 years

The AWS Certified Developer - Associate credential has the following recertification information:

  • AWS Certifications are valid for 3 years. Certification holders may recertify by taking the current Associate-level exam for the certification already held or by passing either the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional exam for the Architect path or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional exam for the Developer or Operations path.
  • Note: Marine Corps COOL will only pay recertification fees for the current year, no arrears will be paid. Voucher requests for recertification fees must be submitted with proof of the current status of the certification (for example, a screen shot of your credentialing agency dashboard or a copy of a current fee receipt).

Additional considerations for the AWS Certified Developer - Associate include:

  • It is recommended that candidates have one or more years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining an AWS based application.
